The award ceremony of the 2016 'Alfredo and Federico Tampieri' grants, offered for the eighth year, was held on Saturday 26 November.
"The most important subject for our youth is a growing self-awareness. They need to let their desires and dreams surface. The school system must instil the courage to make decisions, without being afraid of making mistakes. Then, our youth won't be afraid of their own ideas, interests and passions, as only by trying to pursue them can they find their own way", said Carlo Tampieri in his introductory speech.
Last year’s grants of €2,500 each were awarded to:
Alex Zaccherini, specialised in Corporate IT Systems
Victor Sirbu, specialised in International Relations and Marketing
both graduates from 'Oriani' Secondary Technical Institute in Faenza
Mirco Bucci, specialised in Electronics
Giona Dapporto, specialised in Mechanics
both graduates from 'Bucci' Secondary Institute for Technical, Industrial and Vocational Training in Faenza.
"It is great to meet every year very capable young people who not only are conscientious students, but also face up with enthusiasm to the challenges of life", said Andrea Tampieri, the President of Tampieri Financial Group. "Knowing that our grants can encourage them to make decisions for their future fills us with pride and drives us to continue the journey we embarked on eight years ago". As usual, on that occasion two important guests took the floor.
Is it possible to combine fun and study or work? So it seems, as shown by Christian Zoli, entrepreneur, game designer, trainer and expert public speaker, during his speech entitled "Keep calm and play the game". "As I run a consulting and training company in San Francisco, I have the chance of getting to know a lot of companies and dealing with a variety of corporate cultures, both in Italy and abroad. The one I discovered on Saturday 26 November at the 'Masini' Theatre surely left me with a very good impression and, to be completely honest, with a satisfied smirk, as for once I found not far from home a very fine organization with a positive corporate climate. Congratulations on the initiative of awarding grants to young people and many thanks for letting me contribute to this year's project".
Paolo Gambi is a writer, a journalist, a blogger, a youtuber and a mental coach. With his speech, entitled "Scrivi che ti passa" ("Writing will cure it"), he advised his young public to, among other things, use their writing as a memory tool. “The young students from Faenza give hope for the future. It is always good to spot wonder in the eyes of a new generation which, in spite of what many say, is full of life and intelligence. No doubt they will succeed in meeting the difficult challenges that lie ahead of them. Congratulations to the Group and the Tampieri family on this wonderful event".
